Contractors contacted, got one rough estimate and waiting for the other more precise estimate. Appointment set with realtor to submit offer. I am so glad I got my computer fixed because everything is being done through email. I don’t have to go to Hagerstown because one contractor is in area and can get in without me, which actually shouldn’t be a problem since the window is broken and anybody could get in if they wanted. He will have the code and can go in through the door as a normal person would. He is very friendly and assured me the house is want is in a nice area and said I do NOT want the other one because that is not a nice area. I kind of got that creepy feeling from the guy across the street so it looks like my instincts may have been right. I used to live in Baltimore, I’m usually pretty good at picking up on trouble. So now to get cleaned up and start my laundry and order some pizza. I’m starving. The snow is still coming down and laying in the yard. Mom and her bf have gone bowling and are going to the ocean until Sunday. The HFH is out so it’s just me and the son, so we can enjoy the peace and quiet. I can’t wait to move and for peace and quiet to be the norm instead of the exception. ---

Back from training - it wasn’t too terrible, plus they had food, so bonus!! 😃 By the time it was done, if I’d gone to the office, I’d have had maybe 60-90 minutes till quitting time, and it just wasn’t worth it. As I was leaving, Missy Prissy was coming in, acting all nice, despite having blown me off this morning. I am so glad I sit way down the hall from her. It was snowing pretty thickly when I came out, but now it’s slowed to flurries, and nothing is sticking on the roads or the ground. What little accumulated on the trees and shrubs has mostly melted away. Huzzah! We’re promised more overnight, but there are no predictions of accumulations, so I expect it’ll be similar to what happened today. \*\*FCD \*\*called me a bit ago from Florence, SC. He said it was 77°. I told him not to get used to it because he’d be freezing his butt off when he comes home this weekend. The weather guys this morning were saying it should be below average for the next couple of weeks. Blech. _C’mon Spring!!!_ ---

Howdy from da cave. I had to go up to large and in charge Leesburg (as in my location aka da burg) to deal with some stuff irkwise. When I finished I was faced with the decision to continue down the road back to the orifice or turn left toward da cave. Da cave was the closest so it won. 😃 ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out but I sense a change in the weather. A cool front is movin’ in bringin’ rain and lower temps, as in the low of 50 tonight shall be the high for tomorrow with rain. ICK! On the plus side I now do not have to go to the lower forty tomorrow. I shall go Moanday instead. Yeah, I know, Moanday. However it shall be clear and dry then so that’s a plus. **Butters** you asked about slow cooker poke roast. I dunno. I use a little apple juice and a little liquid smoke for a nice smoky apple flavor. Always turns out good. I also squeeze some fresh oj on the poke just cause. It’s pull apart tender. Matter of fact it’s all done (was last night) and is settin’ out to knock the chill off before I warm it up slowly in the convection oven. Always juicy and tender. I just put sweet N.O.T. in the oven. Butterbeans and rolls shall complete what shall be a nummy dindin. Sounds like the house stuff is movin’ right along for both **sari and drae**. YAY! Ok, gonna go surf a bit and then get on with the dindin makin’s. ---

Laundry is done, well sitting on my bed waiting to be put away, but it is done. Pizza and subs ordered, delivered and et. I’m all cleaned up and nowhere to go yet. Waiting for realtor to call. The office is only a few minutes away. I’m watching Dr Phil, this woman has to be the dumbest. Says she was lying to protect her cousin who killed his stepbrother, now says her cousin did it. I think she has had 5 different stories and all she can do is whine about how unfair it is that she got dragged into it. The story is so ridiculous, it’s people like that family that give rednecks a bad name. ---

Evenin’ all! Just got back from work, and I think I missed some proper House Drama- my _ahem_ not all that bright housemate (let’s call him ‘Geoff’ because that’s his name) apparently posted up a biig rant on Facebook about how much living in this house sucks, and he hates it, and the (live in) landlord’s horrible. Geoff’s friends with the landlord on Facebook, so it was all totally visible- plus he never cleans up, and has been paying everything late for months. I believe he’s been given his notice. Oops. I can’t exactly say I’m surprised, but damn that’s dumb- the guy has no money, no job and was very lucky to find this place to begin with. The Terrible Hardships he’s had to deal with have basically been not being allowed to turn all the heating on full at 4am, then go to bed and leave it (which he kept doing because he sold all his warm clothes last summer- because he ‘didn’t need them any more’), so everyone else wakes up boiling hot. I suspect he’ll be moving back in with Mum. ---

Dindin was nummy! Plus poke left that shall get turned into some bbq this weekend! Win-Win! Yay for found antler Higgs! A very important matter has been resolved. A matter of utmost importance. A matter that [del]resolves world peace[/del] restores harmony in the world. Ok, maybe not _all_ that but it was pretty dang important. The date has been set for the annual Firday Durin’ Lent Fish Fry! HUZZAH! YP and I spent twenty minutes on the phone to pick what we have decided to be the perfect date, April 11. This is the Firday before the start of Holy Week. Thus everybody can come and be all solemn for [Stations Of The Cross](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stations_of_the_Cross) and afterward be a little bit naughty with fried fish, fries, slaw and a cold beerverage. Note, a little bit naughty as this is Lent after all. No raucous behavior. Just a little naughtiness. Besides, our annual St. Patrick’s Feast will be on March 15th, the Sattidy closest to St. Patrick’s Day. Even though this is durin’ Lent as well, one can be a lot more naughty, even border on raucousness. What? We’re supposed to be good but not _that_ good. 😛 The kinda sad thing is our Emperor of The Fish Fry (we even gave him a scepter) won’t be able to be there as he is currently in hospice and may not even be amongst us by April 11. ☹ Seriously, the man _ **LURVES** _ a fish fry and is all up in the fryin’ of the fish. He’s good at it too. I’m good at it but not like Steve. The man is a fish fry machine of organization and mad skilz. So, what y’all up to? ETA: **Rosie** don’t forget to brush your teeth and say your prayers first. **nuts** sounds like y’all are gettin’ rid of someone who is, well, nuts! 😃 ---

I want Higgs. **swampy** What kind of poke roast? Maybe I use the wrong kind? Good luck with home buying. Home ownership is not all fun though. Probably not as bad as owning a boat. We have been in the middle of a security EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE for two weeks and went to DELTA today. Pain in the ass. Good practice but hard to get any work done :smack:. Computer starts with a siren sound, phone rings, emails to both work address and personal, text messages to both personal and work cells announcing the current conditions of readiness. All with requirements to respond in some way. :smack: We continue with our perfect weather with 80ish degrees. There are so many people here enjoying the weather. Too many. ---
