And a couple others were fairly light on it. The man _can_ act, but unfortunately he was back to the Plastic Face thing in _Bruce Almighty_. That said, I think it’s unfortunate that he’s been cast for Count Olaf. Anyone who has heard Tim Curry’s fine readings of the Unfortunate Events books knows that Curry should have had that part in the bag. Oh, and I think _Sk8er Boi_ will be every bit as bad as _From Justin to Kelly_ (which I saw by proxy, thanks to my girls… they also thought it was stupid, yay!). What was trite and silly as a 4-minute song can only get worse when stretched into a 90-minute film. ---

I have no strong opinion on the Sk8er Boi thing, although part of me strongly thinks it may be someone at paramount taking the piss. Of course if you ignore the song and the ‘wacky’ spelling there could be a grain of a half decent romantic-moral-comedy story in there.
