When was the picture taken? Do you have a link? He’s pretty much always been that way though, not giving a shit what people think, and anyway, his last three roles have called for him to be sloppy and dumpy.
The Boat That Rocked (completed) - he’s a underground (well, on water) radio DJ.
Jack Goes Boating (in pre-production) - IMDB synopsis: A stoner limo driver looks for different ways to improve his skill-set as a way to attract a girlfriend.
Oh shoot. I’d had “he’s a radio DJ” and then went and added the “underground” and forgot to change a to an. I know my grammar, I’m just really bad at previewing.
Exactly- that’s what drug & alcohol miles look like, kids… It’s too bad- between the mileage and the terrible plastic surgery (a little cartilage in his nose my ass), he is a sad mess, and he was once a very good-looking man.
He might still be a great actor, but damn… he looks almost deformed.
I thought it was quite obvious that I meant after the Godfather; the films he made after the Godfather, the decades he obviously didn’t care about acting at all, but nonetheless made films. Sorry for being unclear.
FWIW, The Godfather was considered a comeback for Brando. His career was considered to be over, and FFCoppola had to go to GREAT lengths to get the studio to approve his casting, because he was thought to be a has been; box-office poison.
I know. I admire Marlon Brando like no other. But as I said, I now understand I was uncareful in my parenthesis regarding Brando above. I regret it, and now I will undress, and roll my useless body in ash and never mention Brando in a parenthesisa gain. What I said about Mickey Rourke though, outside the parenthesis, stands without any regrets or self humiliation.
