I have been trying to print a copy of the pdf version of [this book](http://www.manybooks.net/titles/jeromejeetext953boat10.html) on my laser printer. The Documents Properties shows printing as being allowed.

It works fine on my inkjet, but I prefer the laser because it gives better text, is cheaper per page and has more flexible options such as duplex. I also tried printing to another pdf file with PDFCreator - I could read the second generation pdf ok but still could not print from it.

What I get is lots of overlapping accented characters, mostly upper case, and a few symbols. I have never experienced this before (though I did have to re-install everything recently after a bad system crash) and I can print other pdf’s just fine, but not from this site.

I am using Adobe Reader 7.0.0 on XP

My printer is a Panasonic KX-P7105 with PCL-6

Any ideas?

Check with Panasonic for the correct printer driver needed to print AR 7.0.0
