Emily Procter. She played [Ainsley Hayes](http://www.ugo.com/tv/hottest-tv-lawyers-ainsley-hayes) on the West Wing, and she was _cute_. (I loved that character, which maybe affected my opinion.) Then she had a bunch of work done, and now … I don’t know. Anytime one of these threads comes around I mention Richard Gere. He always, always looks to me like he just licked his lips, and he has that weird smirk that seems to be a common peeve. ---

It would be easier to name actresses over 40 that haven’t had one or more of these things done than name those who’ve had. I don’t know why they deem it attractive. ---

You can’t tell from this picture but Robin Tunney used to have a really cute and really deep dimple on one cheek. That dimple has morphed into something. . . uncanny. She puts a lot of energy into covering one side of her face. None of the people I mentioned are _ugly_, it’s just that I hate their faces. It’s a different thing than what I think about Cameron Diaz or Uma Thurman who I find unattractive. Or Marc Anthony and Tilda Swinton who should be cast in a zombie movie to save on the make-up budget. There is no way to explain what I mean except to say: I can’t stand their faces. ---
