NUMBER 1000!!! (For all you Latin speakers out there – Number M!) This is only the “official” count, of course. Several posts were lost during the great “flaming folders” debacle. I can’t think of anything witty that doesn’t include the word “booger” so I’ll settle for maudlin: I have greatly enjoyed my time spent on this message board and look forward to enjoying it for a long time yet. I enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship, the the rapier-like wit (and yours too, **Uke** ) and the candor. I’d like to thank a few special people – (and torque off a whole bunch of other worthy folk who aren’t mentioned. Well you never mentioned me either! If you want to make a friend you have to be a friend first! Just wait till you reach your 1000th post and you can thank whoever you like!! … Ummm … Is this microphone on?) In no particular order: **Zette** – for being my first favorite poster. Sorry, Zette, but there have been others. **Bricker** – for his logical and well presented posts in GQ, even though in our first encounter we had to agree to disagree. (He was winning!) **TVeblen** – for best gender-crossing screen name. And for a very attractive beard. **BurnMeUp** – for being the only other poster to show up at the great Puget Sound Straight Dope Meeting. **Imthecowgodmoo** – for his very inspirational screen name. And a special thanks to all my other fellow deities, too. **Da Ace** – for being the only other poster sharing my Wu-Tang Clan name: “Victorian Cow”! Yecchh! **OpalCat** – for all the hard work in maintaining the extremely valuable Teeming Millions website. **Athena** – who offered me a job when I expressed envy at the fancy computing hardware she has at work. **Eve** – who, as \*\*Flora McFlimsey[/], sponsored my first post in MPSIMS. My opinion of her may change, however, after I watch “Kiss Me Goodbye” tonight. What if I like it? And for **Chief Scott** – :eek: _Tena Koe_ to **Guano Lad** for being a Kiwi. (Notice I didn’t mention Mr. Most Popular – \*\*Satan[/b}? Doh!!) And a special thanks to all the ladies for sharing your feminine secrets which I would never in a million years have learned from my wife. Not that she wouldn’t share them with me – I just wouldn’t have been listening. I know I’ve left people out that I meant to include – like **Kyla** for a great sig line, **Mullinator** , **funneefarmer** – I don’t recall seeing any posts from **TennHippie** lately, but I always enjoyed his input, **TomH** for the Straight Dope on “subfusc” – See, the list could go on forever. If you don’t see your name just assume I was going to mention you but ran out of room. Finally, I will close with the sig line which I stole from my wife but she doesn’t know it because she doesn’t read this board – ## p.s. **Moderators** , is there anyway you could indicate which threads are hot?
