People, please, listen up, if you say: _I could care less…_ that means you DO care some… If OTOH, you say: \* I couldn’t care less…\*, that indicates that you dont care at all. Please let us all do our part to stamp out this annoying error. (end of pathetic mini-rant) ---

Well… In some circles," I could care less" is understood to be shorthand for “It is theoretically possible for me to care less, but the odds are really against it” (Put sarcasm and stress on the “could”, it makes more sense) ---

I agree with doc\_miller on this one. I say “I could care less” and I include sarcasm. Your way of saying it is automatically a lie, after all. The mere fact that you are saying anything means you _could_ care less. You could care so little that you don’t even comment on how little you care. So I’ll take truthful sarcasm over lying any day. ---

Kell, I was thinking of how badly I wanted to correct you when I opened this thread, and was kinda bummed when I saw that you did yourself. but seriously, I try to correct people when they say this, and they give me the “deer in the headlights” stare, and say… “whatever”… anyhow, what I can’t stand is when people say “anywayS” no, that’s wrong! where’d you learn this! that’s WRONG!!! ---
