If you’re into cars, or racing at all, you should check out a series called Initial D. It’s about a tofu delivery kid who’s been delivering tofu up and down a mountain in his dad’s AE86 (the Japanese equivelant of our rear wheel drive Toyota Corolla hatchback) since he could look over the steering wheel, and thus learns how to drift, and becomes an insanely good driver. He starts racing a bunch of famous race car drivers on mountain roads and stuff. The animation during the racing sequences is really great – it’s 3d computer stuff. There sre some subplots thrown in every now and then. I have every episode, and once you start watching them, you don’t want to stop until the season is over. Good stuff.
