It’s a wedding shower, so no babbehs yet. But apart from the gift-grab aspect of showers, I just don’t much like the whole event. I hope my niece’s friends aren’t planning any stupid games - I may have to hide in the bathroom. 😛 I’ve got 4 towels stenciled, 6 to go. Keeping a small paintbrush at the ready has been great for touching up little spots that don’t stencil completely. I need to print out the iron-on strips, too. I have a few, but not enough. I can do that tomorrow, after everything’s completely dried. Meanwhile - lunch! ---

WORKDAY BLURF! We had 5.28 inches of rain yesterday. Got leaks all over the place. Wind driven rain causes a tall window to leak and it collects behind the paint causing a large bubble in the gym that is in my bldg. Damndest thing I have ever seen. Speaking of gym, the Fitness director was here cleaning up the leaked rain and said she would come back later to do a proper clean and mop as she is short handed so I texted her that me and my lead clerk will get in there and clean after lunch. Don’t want to make a habit of it but once won’t kill us. Tomorrow is the first of the month which for me means all sorts of stuff due such as inventories, credit card statement, fuel card statement, patron counts. Just a whole heap to do on the first. I can’t believe this month is gone. May already. ---

**{{{ruble}}}** I’m so sorry for your loss. **Butters** I’m goin’ back to irk on Moanday and have all that to look forward to as well. :eek: The makin’ of chikin sallit is now complete. I say a gallon ice cream bucket of chikin sallit should be enough to feed a crowd. 'Twill be a bunch of sammiches for sure! Ima make beastloaf, mac ‘n cheese, and cabbage casserole (it’s in the Mumper recipe blog and gooooooooood!) for dindin. Oh and corn bread. I got me a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for corn bread. ---

I may not be making supper tonight because of the pot luck at **FCD** ’s work. He usually comes home from those things stuffded and uninterested in more food. As soon as I finish stenciling the last 2 towels, I’ll check with him and see if I need to defrost something or if we’ll just have a bowl of cereal. Speaking of stenciling, it’s going really well today. I’ve got 8 towels done (4 with blue crabs, 4 with 4 red crabs) and just 2 more to go (Amish buggy towels, one with a woman, one with a man.) Tomorrow, I’ll print out the iron-on strips. Once the stenciling is done, I need to empty the dishwasher. And scoop the cat box. What I want to do is snooze, but I know as soon as I lie down, I’ll be wide awake. It’s so tough being me… ---

No caterin’ designs here at all. No thank you. I like makin’ foodstuffs for OYKW, friends, and family. I also like cookin’ mass quantities over to the church house. That’s the extent of it however. Speakin’ of which, the cabbage casserole is bakin’ away as I post and the mac 'n cheese is ready to be finished off in the oven. Go Me! ---

I hate my mouse!! It has some buttons on the side that, if I hit them accidentally, they go back one page, deleting whatever I’m trying to post. DAMMIT!!! Anyway, stenciling is done. \*\*FCD \*\*got 2 packages delivered, one was pretty smashed up, so I took pics before bringing it it, just in case the contents are damaged. And the paint was never delivered to my mom’s, so Home Depot is processing a refund. The UPS site said it was delivered, but my sister was up there the whole day and no paint ever showed up. Somebody somewhere got free paint. And \*\*FCD \*\*doesn’t want supper as I suspected. So there’s that. ---

We cleaned the gym and now I have a backache. I hope TPTB appreciate it and it’s not likely to happen again any time soon. I don’t even clean my own house. That’s what the maid is for. I was starving so went in search of food and found some ham that has been in the fridge a while but it still smells OK so I am eating it. Iff’n y’all don’t hear from me it’ll be because that ham made me ill. I need to go grocery shopping for irk. The cupboard is bare around here. Meatloaf sounds good. That may be my dinner too. ---

I had cod, a twice-baked N.O.T.,and salad. Ice cream later. Happy tummy! 😃 \*\*FCD \*\*finished the [broccoli salad](http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Bodacious-Broccoli-Salad/Detail.aspx?soid=recs_recipe_seed) that was leftover from the pot luck. He really liked it and he said so did a lot of folks at his office. So I have another go-to recipe for a crowd. At least for him. I’m not that crazy about raw broccoli and I don’t like raw onion at all. Then there’s the bacon… 😛 ---

This morning my internet did not work. :mad: It finally kicked back on about twenty minutes ago. I went to turn my faucet-mounted Brita filter to “filter” and the key on the back broke off. It took me thirty minutes to get the damn thing off the faucet. Now I have to get a new one and I just bought a new filter for it. :mad: We had a big deal meeting at irk today and all of my department co-workers went to lunch together after. Except me because I had to work. :mad: They did bring me a tart after, but I want lunch. Dammit. ---
