I don’t suppose anyone here could help me identify [the poster hanging inside the locker in this screen capture from a cartoon?](http://home.comcast.net/~Ranchoth/darialocker.JPG) It kinda looks like something by Dali, but I’m not sure. Can anyone lend me a hand? ---

That is the main character of the cartoon _Daria_, which was a damn good spinoff of _Beavis and Butthead_. ---

I think **Ranchoth** means the poster off to the side of picture. It DOES look like something by Dali…what with the watch and all. But I’m afraid it doesn’t ring any bells for me… ---

It looks like it could possibly be [The Scream](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scream). It’s kind of cartoony and skewed, but it might be. ---

Definitely not “The Scream.” My first guess was Dali, but I don’t know if it’s a specific picture. ---

Even though there’s a clock/watch and landscape which is reminiscent of Dali (though the timepiece isn’t melting), the shape of the human figures is evocative of Edvard Munch’s (_The Scream_) work. My guess is that the cartoonist loosely incorporated both styles into the painting on the wall. ---

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was supposed to be a photo from _National Geographic_-at one point, Daria had a photo of the _Hindenberg_ crash in her locker. ---
