No, the Iraq debacle is the “open, bleeding wound” in the budget. As of this minute, this example of Republican adventurism has cost us [$913 billion](http://costofwar.com/) and growing fast. Money that could be much better spent actually, oh, accomplishing something constructive. ---

In the sense of cynically obstructing the inevitable progress toward joining the rest of the civilized world in providing universal healthcare, of course, yes. You traitors will do it anyway you can–either by blocking bill passage or passing toxic, regressive, “cancel-out-progress” bills. Whatever you need to do to keep your Master engorged and pounding away. I guess in the simple sense of passing bad legislation in Congress, while it would still be fiendishly cynical, it would not, by definition, be legislatively obstructionist, no. There! Now that’s something to hang your hat on, isn’t it! “This time we didn’t _block_ passage of a bill establishing universal healthcare, no siree! THIS time we were PROACTIVE! This time we _passed_ a bill that _repealed_ universal healthcare!” ---
