I am almost never without my iPad. Whenever I’m waiting in line, I pull it out of my purse, open up my current book, and read while waiting. Today, I left it at home. When I went to lunch, I took an old fashioned paper book to read. After placing my order, I open the book, read the page, and flip my finger across it to get the next page. The page stayed the same! I looked at it for a minute in disbelief before realizing I had to actually physically turn the page. :smack: The last time I did something this silly was when I was on the phone with my mom, and pressed the push to talk key on my PC keyboard before talking to her. I think I need to go back to bed 😃 ---

I went to the baseball game last night. I ate a nacho and looked up to see just the end of a nice defensive play. I patiently waited for the players on the field to do a replay. 😛 ---

I have, on occasion, walked up to the front door of my house while pressing the unlock button on my car key fob. ---

I got chased down by the car wash guy because I left my car to be vacuumed, but the freakin’ keyless key stayed with me, so they couldn’t start the car and move it to the wash queue after vacuuming. :smack: He was pissed; must happen all the time these days… ---

I was driving someone else’s car back when I had stick and almost threw it in park when I was coasting down to a stop and I went to nudge it into neutral like I would have if I was in my car. I was going about 3 or 4 miles an hour, so I’m guessing it was slow enough for the parking pawl to actually catch and bring us to an abrupt stop (as opposed to just clicking but not actually doing anything). ---

Once, someone walked into my office while I was listening to a voice mail message left by my wife. I started talking back to the recording: “Ya. Umm… Hello… Someone is… I have to… Can you…Hang on… Someone’s here…” I couldn’t figure out why she kept talking. ---

Just last Friday I had written out a check for my monthly loan payment-the loan company is just a couple blocks from my house, next to the grocery store so it’s pretty convenient to drop off a check there once a month. I headed out to my van and pointed my door unlock key fob at it, pressing it repeatedly with my thumb… Only to realize after several presses that it was the check I had in my hand and was pressing. My actual keys were still hanging on the hook inside the door. Which was now locked behind me. Luckily, I had a spare house key hidden in my garden shed, so it wasn’t as bad as it COULD have been. ---
