…until a friend of mine pointed out that today is the 10th anniversary of my 21st birthday, and therefore I should have a drink to celebrate. Okay, now I feel old. (And for the record, I spent my 21st birthday at my mom’s house, because I was on spring break from college and was a nerd who did not have cool spring break plans. She gave me a birthday card. A wild rumpus was not had.) However, I am expecting at least a moderate rumpus from MrWhatsit later on, and you all can interpret that however you would like. 🆒 ---

Cool, I’m 19 months away from the 20th anniversary of my 21st birthday. Suddenly somehow it doesn’t seem so bad thinking about it that way And in 31 months I can have two drinks: one to commemorate my 21st of 21st, and the other to mark my drinking habit coming of age. Pretty damn spiffy Wally, pretty damn spiffy. ---

The idea that someone who was born the year I graduated from high school has been able to buy beer legally for the last three years is staggering. ---
