OP was TL;DR, but are you suggesting that the poster **dalej42** _actually is_ your “Uncle Dale”, or are you just making a comparison to a relative he reminds you of who may or may not be real and may or may not actually be named Dale? ---

This is a well deserved pitting. Uncle Dale is completely disinterested in addressing anyone’s arguments in the Missouri football thread and only turns up the volume in his demands for retribution instead. You’re on the wrong side of this coming change, Uncle Dale, and the funny thing is that the actions you advocate will only hasten your opponents’ win. So I guess that makes you not only an asshole but a stupid one, too. ---

As some of you may already know, I’m a recovering Texan. With the exception of my grandparents, the whole fam damly was Uncle Dale Bob. I can entirely despise what they believed, but don’t have it in me to despise them. Uncle Dale Bob got a fishing hook out of my thumb but didn’t tell anybody that I cried. Uncle Dale Bob worked his butt off, believing that hard work and honesty got you the good life. It didn’t. It wasn’t that hard to convince him that the principle was sound, but he was getting screwed by welfare bums and Communists. Gave us four cousins, three are solidly turning Texas blue, the fourth is kind of a shitass. So, Merry Christmas, Uncle Dale Bob, you dum sumbitch. May the Baby Jesus shut your mouth and open your heart, amen. ---

I actually have an uncle that this reminds me of. Last Thanksgiving was the first time I’d seen him in about . . . three years. He walked in the door, the dog started barking, he saw me and said, “Wow, the dog must have thought I was a n—.” Uh, good morning to you. Thanks for the reminder not to leave the kids alone with you. ---
