She didn’t? :dubious:
To me, she simply isn’t “exotic” enough to be either a convincing Vulcan or Romulan.
Arlene Martel was exotic. Kirstie Alley was exotic. Suzie Plakson was exotic. Jolene Blalock was exotic.

No offense to the actress, but to me Kim is just too … “Nordic”? :dubious:

Yes, I suppose I should throw in Joanne Linville, though I hate that episode and never cared for the character:
AFAIC, her best role was the whiny alcoholic wife of the murderer on the Jackie Cooper episode of Columbo .
They did. That’s why they had to go down to check it out.
No, they didn’t see 15 (super) humans. They saw only “a minor energy flux reading on one dynoscanner.” It might have only been “a particle of preanimate matter caught in the matrix.” But then again, it might not.
If they can’t spot 15 humans on an otherwise dead planet (plus a few eels. Did I mention the eels?), maybe they shouldn’t be using those sensors to find a “lifeless” world. Just sayin’.
You use what you got, I guess.
Gretchion:
Exactly. TWOK came out before someone decided that for some reason Vulcans and Romulans couldn’t have individual hairstyles anymore. In TOS, several Vulcan and Romulan women had long hair. In the later series, it was decided that since Spock had a bowl cut, all Vulcanoids must have the exact same haircut. Valeris didn’t have a bowl cut, but she would have looked better with Kim Cattrall’s normal hair.
Heck, wasn’t there a throwaway line or two in TWOK about Saavik’s hair?
The name should be a dead giveaway that she’s a different branch of Vulcans! Rumor has it she’s howler in the sack though!
