I see no one has brought up some of my favorite movies (listed in the order they were made):

_Mommie Dearest_ (a touching tale of adoption and wire hangers)
_Drop Dead Fred_ (because who doesn’t need an imaginary friend?)
_White Chicks_ (even I can’t explain why I like this one)
_Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants_ (no! I’m not too old to love this one!)

Of those, _Sisterhood_ is the only one that gets a good rating out of Rotten Tomatoes (79%).

Gotta agree. This is a cult classic. Bad acting, bad plot, but lot’s of FUN!
The’re so many bad movies on the Sci-Fi channel these days… But I still watch 'em! 😃

I think **The Hulk** is the second-best movie (after **X2** ) to come out of the recent Marvel resurgence. Yeah, better than both Spider-man flicks. Beat that.

I heard his latest movie was really funny and that it’s his best yet. I don’t see how he can top Pet Detective. 😃

I,too, enjoyed _Swordfish_ .

Other favorite Travolta schlockfests:

_Urban Cowboy_

_Face Off_

_Staying Alive_ , the almost-universally panned sequel to _Saturday Night Fever_ , another favorite Travolta schlockfest.

I was disappointed with _Battlefield Earth_ ,though. Not sclhocky, just bad.

I also kinda liked _Death to Smoochy_ .

Hudson Hawk and The Fifth Element are a couple of my favorites. Sometimes I think I might have a little bit of a man crush on Bruce Willis.

I came in to say Donnie Darko, but Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 79%. I had no idea other people watched it, nevermind enjoyed it.

Upon further reflection, Memento and 12 Monkeys came to mind, but they also are apparently critically acclaimed. Who knew?

So, ultimately, I’ve added nothing to this thread. Thank you. Goodnight.

I enjoyed **Batman and Robin**. The acting is generally pretty bad I think it’s a fun movie if you don’t take it all that seriously.

I think **Bring it On** is a work of genius. It (unlike the sequels, directed by a different person) isn’t meant to be taken seriously. Hillarious movie.

The films of John Boorman–even \*Zardoz \* and _Exorcist II: The Heretic_.

Damn thing got 65% on Rottentomatoes. I didn’t realise that. I guess that kills that suggestion.

I realize I said I liked _DareDevil_ better than both Spidey flicks so I shouldn’t be casting stones here but _¿¡qué fuck!?_ The only (recent) Marvel movie _ **worse** _ than _Hulk_ is the aforementioned _Elektra_. Even _Fantastic Four_ was better.

This is a whoosh, right?

I liked Daredevil _and_ Fantastic Four.

And I thought Hulk had it’s moments—not a _lot_ of 'em, and they weren’t _that_ terrific, true…

But here’s my big heretic moment: I liked _Planet of the Apes_.

Burton’s version.

Better than the original, actually.

there’s a difference between a good movie and one you like to watch.
12 Angry Men is at least 10x better than Harold & Kumar, but I watch it 10x less.

Re: Marvel movies, Captain America ('90s version) makes Hulk look like Casablanca.

Mars Attacks! rocks (and it got me an A in sci-fi cinema class in college)

Night at the Roxbury. I saw it at the old 2$ theatre on St-Catherine’s when I was in undergrad in Montreal and the whole audience was laughing, not just yours truly.

It seems even funnier to me now that I live in L.A. and actually see these types of people at the gym.

Rather than bringing out all our doog movies, but for instance what I would consider a movie a lot better than most of those released the same year, but largely passing under the radar of critics and the populace at large would be _My Life Without Me_. Great quiet film. Me and my dad saw it at the Seattle Foreign Film Festival and expected it would go on to be the new Bambi, but nada.
