In my humble opinion, doctors are happy with just giving sufferers of anxiety disorders meds. They’re really not interested in curing the condition.
Jragon, I’m about three years recovered from an anxiety disorder now, and I co-facilitate a local self-help/support group for anxiety disorder sufferers. If you want to talk, please feel free to email me. That goes for anyone else; I don’t volunteer a lot in these threads because people don’t seem to want anything but meds for anxiety, but I’d love to help people with more than that. And yes, CBT works wonders with anxiety and panic. Psychology does not. If you see a psychologist, they basically need to treat you with CBT if you’re going to get much out of it.
Give me 5 days to start (Spring Break, feh) on that one, I’m addicted to the point of getting withdrawals. While I’ve tried in the past, the giant migraines I get from not having it tend to win out when it’s lie in bed with a mega-headache or do homework to pass classes.
Jragon, I’ve had bouts with depression. I feel for you. I can only give you support from here, for what it is worth. But I will send you any hopes and good vibes I can. I know how much it sucks to be depressed.
Here you go. Strongly recommended for anyone with anxiety, panic, stress, phobia and/or depression issues. Online, low stress, do it as you see fit, can’t hurt and might help.
