This is a quote from Goyboy in the “Hello are you Jewish?” thread Goyboy - he quotes Harlan Ellison:

“If you ever forget you’re Jewish, your neighbors will be sure to remind you.”

I have decided to borrow it and amend it to fit this thread that could apply to any German: “If you ever forget you’re German, your neighbors will be sure to remind you that your Nazi!”

I use this only to say that not all Germans are Nazi! (repeat!!) - It would be like saying all white Americans are
racists or come from famlies of slaveowners.

Even if this thread did, originally, have some redeeming value, that putative value is now lost, so I’m closing it before it becomes even more of a flamewar than it already is. I might recommend that there be a few apologies as needed, by e-mail, but please keep this off the board.
