Perhaps it’s its own thread but how does the USA manage trade relations with countries that are considered dubiously trustworthy? I suppose it runs on a spectrum from near-total (but never absolute) trust to pariah nations like North Korea. Even at the height of the Cold War when the USA considered the USSR the greatest threat to the security of the entire planet, we still had non-zero trade with them.
