Because he did give us Freddy Jones and the Nibblonians (I _think_ he’s the one who delivered the line about “and because of that past nastification, you are the only hope to save the universe”), which both rock. But he’s also the man responsible for just about every cloying, high-pitched, gurgling, annoying animal or alien sidekick in every cartoon ever made during my lifetime. If you’re watching a cartoon made after 1971, and there’s a character that annoys the hell out of you, nine times out of ten it’s voiced by Frank Welker. This is, after all, the man who brought us _Foofur_, _Glomer_, and _Slimer_. I say if you’re looking for the true voiceover god, you go for [quality, not quantity](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0413996/). And to end the hijack and answer the OP: Zoidberg, by far. “Hooray! On one of the S4 commentaries with LaMarche, he was trying to remember if he was in the episode in question (i think it was The Why of Fry), someone remarked he did the voice of The Big Brain… “Maurice, do the voice of The Brain” \“Pinky, are you pondering what i’m pondering, whoops, wrong brain…” to answer the OP, Zoidberg to win in Claw-Plawch! ---

Wow tough call… I love Zap’s confused sexuality in War is the H word but I am in tears when I watch the scene Roswell that ends well where Zoidberg is being autopsied. Zoidberg: “Come on, lighten up. What is this? A funeral?” Doctor 1: “Heart” Zoidberg: “Take! Zoidberg. I love that he’s unbelievably incompetent, but also capable of astounding medical feats. He thinks Fry has more than one mouth. He diagnoses Fry with fin rot. But, he also amputates Fry’s head from a ruined body, successfully grafts it to Amy, heals Fry’s body and reattaches the head. He quickly and successfully reattaches Fry’s arm- he just puts it in the wrong place. Zoidberg also manages to save the rest of the Planet Express gang from robot Santa. And has Zap ever written a letter using his own ink? I think not. ---

I go with the Zapper. On one of the comentaries Billy Zane mentions that his idea of Zapp is to picture James T. Kirk playing William Shatner 😃 Plus he has some of the best lines: “If we can hit that bull’s-eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards…Checkmate.” “Leela, you forgot one thing. Rock crushes scissors… But paper covers rock… and scissors cut paper! Kif, we have a conundrum!
