Eh. I have some really horrible coworkers, and of course they piss me off at times. Especially lately. A few of them have done something quite terrible, I suspect. However, there’s only so much energy that I will give to these people. I find, even with the suspected (hell, I _know_ they did it) horribleness that these two people did, I find that I have not stewed about them all that much. I don’t think about them or talk about them too much as a general rule. I suspect that they would be most gratified and pleased if they thought that I was stewing about them, and I just won’t give them that satisfaction. ---

We have a very obnoxious young lady working in our lab, who likes to think she’s our boss. (She’s not) To make it worse, we think she’s borderline OCD. At the very least, she’s extremely anal. So we’ve started messing with her mind. When she leaves post it notes around telling us what to do, we move them so they’re slightly crooked. In our lab book, we make our words just barely misaligned from the lines. And so on and so forth. She always ends up fixing whatever we do. One of these days she’s going to explode. ---

LOL! Smeghead. She isn’t here today so I am happy. She was in yesterday and started playing really shitty gospel music loudly enough for several other people to complain about it, not just me. ---

If she uses tapes and she leaves her collection at work, and you don’t think she’d miss any of her tapes for one day, perhaps you could sneak off with one of them, take it home and record the audio track off a porn video over her tape and then slip it back into her collection the next day. So I have this co-worker with whom I work very closely. I wouldn’t exactly say I don’t like her; she’s okay in many ways. But she has a couple of traits that drive me up the wall: She always imitades (unconciously, most obviously) the mannerisms, expressions, laughs, etc. of other people, including me. I just can’t stand it when people act phoney like that. They really think that that is their true self and that others will see them that way, when, in fact, the phony act is so painfully obvious! Maybe I’m too sensitive, but I feel taken for a ride, like this person is only interested in how she comes across to others, constantly practicing her latest “personality” on us. And using me (or anybody) only as a “mirror” so to speak, to see how their latest phony personality goes over. :mad: How can a middle-aged (fiftyish) person still be so insecure that they have not found their own inner core (and probably never will at this late point, I suspect)? Anyone else know someone like that? And how do you deal with it? ---

We all moved cubes recently and now I sit next to a weird stalkerboy. He’s so fucking annoying. He’s talking about the Lord of the Rings, how he’s going to go see it 3x the day it opens and 2x the day after. Wtf?? Also, he does this snort/laugh thing that makes me cringe. I have to listen to him talk to the other dood next to me endlessly about Star Wars and shit. They’re talking right now. I want to kill them ---

Here is something that she did when I was working on the computer security part of my previous job. Her, “We can’t let people have the same passwords.” Everyone else, “What? Don’t you mean user ID’s?” Her, “No, passwords. People with the same password compromise the system. When they sign up for a password it should say that the password you want is taken that way no two people have the same password.” Everyone else, “Are you still sure you are talking about passwords and not user ID’s?” Her, “I am still talking about passwords. My user ID is XXXX but my password can be Apple. No other user should be able to have Apple as a password if I have it in usage.” After about an hour of arguing about it she never relented. It eventually came down to her saying that no one should have the same user ID or password. Also, if the password was in use then the system should tell them that someone else already has it. This had me pulling out my hair. ---
