At first I thought huffing, but I think it’s actually that she gave herself a haircut and holding the hair in her hand. She is awfully red, but maybe that’s because she’s drunk. I confess that I’m not up on terminology. What does it mean when she says that she’s “trans”. That she’s a guy who feels like she should be a girl, or a girl that feels like she should be a guy, or something else entirely. Wishing for ignorance to be fought here. ---

I’m not an expert either, but I understand it to mean that biologically/anatomically she is (or was) male, but self-identifies as female. She may have taken advantage of hormones, surgery, etc. to more closely align her body with her gender identification or she may just do it with clothes/hairstyle etc. I’m sure we’ll hear more about it in future strips. ---
