Is it just me or are [Dale’s eyes](http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2485) glowing more than usual? I’m half expecting him to start shooting out optic beams like Cyclops. ---

Thing is, most eyeglass lenses have anti-reflection coatings to prevent that from happening. Also, that kind of reflection can really only happen on flat pieces of glass - eyeglass lenses are not that. ---

Actually, I think Marigold is one of the few females in the strip who haven’t ended up working in the coffee shop (of Dooooom). And the anthro is working a job to help pay for the upgrade (although it is admittedly a minimum wage job). Now that I think of it, maybe that’s why all the characters in QC work such crappy jobs. All the ascended AIs do all the cushy office and engineering jobs. For the humans, there’s nothing left to do. ---

I think Marigold is a freelance web designer (she even said she pays taxes and stuff to Faye). Possibly home-based tech support given her skills and shut-in nature. AnthroPCs are more adopted/friended than anything else (although Jeph made some references to warranties and other stuff that fits in more with a purchased PC). I think extra chassis are what cost more money. It is occasionally brought up that Marten got a great deal on Pintsize’s current chassis as it is military and worth much more than he paid for it. ---
