Speaking of fishing, I had some coworkers over yesterday, they were fishing novices. I was doing some visually exciting topwater bass fishing to impress them. (Yes, I am shallow…) Everything was going along swimmingly, had just hooked a 3-3.5 # bass, and was pulling it up a little, making him jump out of the water when I was reeling him in. They were suitably impressed by my fishing prowess, and being novices, they thought he was HUGE. Brought him up to the boat, was unhooking him, and the lure embedded itself into the back of my hand. #$\*&%!!! Tried to get it out to no avail. They didn’t know how to get it out, being novices and all. Trip to the ER, popped right out. Doctor said I was the most stoic patient he has ever had. (I’ve done this before, sad to say.) Great part was it only took 20 minutes start to finish in the ER, a new record. Coworkers ate the fish. We’re all about making memories here at Casa del Fisha. Bad, good, or otherwise.
