I’m going to try making scrambled eggs with olive oil, it may taste nicer with certain recipes, maybe with a salad or something. I’ll tell you how it went as I have to admit i’ve never tried it and in the interests of fairness I think I should. You never know you may make a convert of me! ---

Please report back **WILLASS**. I, too, am skeptical that Olive Oil is less overpowering than butter with eggs. ---

Good quality eggs are a must, the thought of battery farmed eggs actually makes me feel quite sick. I am genuinley interested to see what its like as I think that the flavour of olive oil and the eggs may work well when served with certain foods. For example I like creamy rich eggs with smoked salmon (I actually add cream) but the olive oil eggs may go better with other foods, i’m trying to think of something to have with a tossed salad and the olive oil scrambled eggs with…maybe some fresh salmon? I’ll report back on Saturday morning with my opinion. ---

Cracking eggs into the pan is the way to make fried eggs, not scrambled eggs. The whole point of scrambling is to mix the whites and the yolks together into one big yellow-white! 😛 ---

**Spogga** , I sincerely doubt your pancakes are bigger than the mammoth congealed mushplatters you get at any IHOP (“International” House of Pancakes, so named because you can get shit like orange marmalade on aforementioned congealed mushplatters and call it French Crepes) in the United States. I have no doubt they’re better, however. A good pancake, as Flannery O’Connor almost said, is hard to find. Daniel ---

As well as yer actual reeeaal English pancakes you can also have Scotch pancakes which are much smaller but thicker [bit like my boss really] Scotch pancakes are delish smothered in syrup and ice cream and are also recognised as being very healthy eating, no really 🙂 ---

Man. you’re all making my mouth water. (except for the black pudding, of course.) But wow, page 3 and no one has mentioned my “usual” breakfast. Doesn’t anyone eat breakfast cereal? Usual: Golden Grahams, milk, OJ. occaisionally: bowl of apple-cinnamon or banana oatmeal, OJ. In a hurry: “Everything” Bagel, with lite vegetable cream cheese, ice tea. Time on my hands: Eggs over easy, waffles/pancakes/french toast w/syrup and butter. hash browns or home fries OJ Buttered toast with jelly (that’s jam-jelly, not gelatin-jelly, brits.) “English Breakfast” tea ---

I love French Toast, I make it with sugar and almond flavoring in the mix so you don’t need any syrup with it. My ideal breakfast-house breakfast would be pancakes with butter and syrup, a couple eggs, some toast, and crispy bacon. With antacid medicine for dessert, 'cause eating in the morning upsets my stomach. ---

I used to have those _like_ yorkshire pudding things for breakfast when I was a kid…the batter was exactly the same recipe but instead of a muffin tin we put it all in a big cast iron frying pan and baked it in the oven…we used whatever yummy breakfast things we had for toppings: fruit and yogurt or sauteed veggies and sausage…MMMMMM those were so good ---
