"I Dream Of Jeannie" - movie to TV to movie - unique?

The Brass Bottle becomes I Dream of Jeannie which is remade as I Dream of Jeannie either with or without Jesicca Alba.

How low can Hollywood go?

How about movie (The Producers) to stage musical (The Producers ) to movie (The Producers).

I believe my example sinks lower than yours because the remake of the remake of the remake has Will Ferrell in it.

So you don’t think “Bewitched” the TV show owes anything to I Married a Witch or Bell, Book, and Candle, then, hmm?

How do you do that? Whenever I say Will Ferrell I have to expectorate…pppttt.

Good example. Play (Bell, Book, and Candle) to movie (same) to TV (Bewitched) to Movie.

I prefer Little Shop of Horrors, though.

Bad movie to musical comedy to not-as-bad-as-the-first-movie movie.

Which is apparently being remade by Danny DeVito. Or is this another one of those “remiagining the story” things?

Although all three are about a mortal man falling in love with a witch, there is no official connection between I Married a Witch, Bell, Book and Candle, and Bewitched.

For that matter, there is no official connection between The Brass Bottle (which is about a male genie, played by Burl Ives), and I Dream of Jeannie.

Precisely my point, Walloon.
By the way, the Burl Ives/Tony Randall movie The Brass Bottle is a remake of two much earlier, silent movie. I’ve seen stills.

They’re all based on a novel by F. Anstey, whose other fantasies have been filmed multiple times, too.

Of course, Barbara Eden was in the Tony Randall one. So you can’t say there’s no connection.

How about this:“Superman and the Mole Men” (movie) to “The Adventures of Superman” (TV) to “Superman” (movies) to “Lois and Clark” (TV) to the new “Superman” movie (with a detour to “Smallville” along the way).

Moonrunners (movie) to The Dukes of Hazzard (TV) to The Dukes of Hazzard (movie)?
