Oh dear. I was in a tall building, overlooking St Paul’s and St Katherine’s Dock when it all vanished in a magnesium-sparkly firework. When the pretty sparks had faded I was looking at a perfectly circular and totally flat disk where the square-mile had been. Then the shockwave hit us and the building was blown to bits… I died too - at least that’s when I woke up. I suppose don’t want war. ☹ ☹ ☹ ☹ ---

\ IMHO, war is a bad thing. Blowing up London is also a bad thing. Very, very bad. Nightmares are bad too, but not as bad as blowing up London. That’s what _I_ think. :wally ---

If it makes you better, three-four years ago, I dreamt that there was a nuclear bomb in my bedroom. I didn’t know how to disarm it, so it blew up. I died in the dream. I remember thinking, “Hey! I just died.” After a bit, I woke up. As of today, there’s not been a nuclear bomb in my bedroom, nor have I died. It is very scary, though. _hugs_ ---

A few weeks ago I dreamt that I was walking around in the train tunnels of Penn Station, for reasons I cannot fathom. Then, I saw some bright lights aheads of me, and it occured to me that I was about to be hit by a Long Island Railroad train. And to make matters worse, it was a train from the Port Jefferson line! Then the train hit me, I heard a loud thump, saw nothing but black, and realized I was dead. Then I woke up and realized I was on the floor. Somehow my brain was able to predict that I would fall off my bed and time the the 800-foot enourmous steel train coliding with my flimsy body such that it hit precisely when I _thumped_ on the bedroom hardwood. Weeeeeeird. ---

I’ve never had a dream about a nuclear bomb going off, but I’ve had creepy dreams about a giant tree(I mean like the size of a comet) falling out of the midnight sky, with the sun shining, which then caused really bad things to happen. Creepy. ---

This reminds me of a dream I had a couple of months ago. I was looking out of my window and saw the cathedral, which is visible on the horizon, go up in a huge mushroom cloud. Seconds later, the blast hit us and swept through the street. I just thought to myself… “Humph. There goes the car!” Why that popped into my head during the dream is beyond me. If the worst ever did happen, I think the car would be the least of my worries. More likely I’d be running around screaming and getting ready to kiss my arse goodbye. ---

Why do you ask? FTR, I was nowhere near NY or DC on 9/11). While I don’t recall nuclear bombs being part of that one, I do clearly remember running around on the roof of a building while these red and white striped bombs were being dropped around me. They looked like the “fat man” atomic bomb from WWII. Those dreams suck…hopefully you have no more anytime soon. ---

In a General Forum topic I asked about the military defense of england & from what others wrote, it doesn’t look possible that it would be nuked. ---

A few years ago now, I dreamed that I was watching the Today show, and they were showing all the happy people outside the studio, waving and holding signs, and somebody just walked up and opened fire on them. That dream still upsets me. However, it hasn’t happened yet, and like I said, that was a few years ago now. Hopefully it never will. ---

I’ve definitely died a few times in my dreams. Which made me feel a lot better about that “If you die in a dream, you’ll die in real life!” belief. I’m still kicking, or at least I’m a really lively zombie. My first dream about a nuclear attack happened right after I first realized I was an atheist (long before the 9-11 attacks.) I was in my bedroom with a close friend, praying. When the explosion hit, it didn’t hurt at all. It was just massive bright lights. My soul was blown along the front of the blast and I followed the explosion downtown (although I knew I was dead at this point) and the last thing I remember in the dream was that the blast had just caught up with some poor sap on a bicycle right in front of the county courthouse. I had a lot of cataclysmic dreams in that period of my life that involved me praying desperately right before dying, and I’m not sure how to interpret that. Probably just nerves. My most recent nuclear attack dream didn’t kill me, though. I was in San Francisco with the rest of my family when I saw bright lights like an explosion in the far distance. When we stopped into a resteraunt to eat, we found out Singapore had been blown to smithereens by North Korea. Since I have some very good friends who live in Singapore, I was upset, but the man who owned the store seemed more concerned with giving me URLs to porno sites. This dream was just a couple of weeks ago. Okay, so I have odd dreams… ---

There’s no guaranteed military defence against a nuclear device planted by terrorists, though, just good detective work by police and security services. ---

Oh my god! Last night I dreamt that London got nuked too! My dream was quite cool… My flatmate and I fell the earth shake then looked and saw a mushroom cloud… We thought we were going to be ok coz our house wouldn’t fall down because we were living in a bouncy castle… But then some Albanians with a german shepherd came along and stole our bouncy castle as the wave of destruction from the bomb was getting closer… So then my friend and I jumped down the nearest manhole cover to discover a magical world kinda like Narnia in Winter… I have the coolest dreams 😃 ---

I’ve dreamed of plane crashes a few times. Once I was on board and rode the thing all the way down to a stop and walked off the thing. Pretty graphic. I also have these very realistic dreams about tornadoes every now and again. “I’m not dreaming, this is real!” Wrong!
