# I.E. 6 Question - URL display vanished from bottom

Mysteriously, I am no longer able to see the address bar (at least I think that’s what it’s called) near the bottom of my browser window. Until now, there had been a narrow horizontal bar situated parallel to, and just above, the bottom bar (the bottom bar being the one with the “Start” menu, etc.) which displayed the URL’s of links that my cursor was hovering over. Now it’s gone.

Any advice on how to get it back?

In IE, go to the Tools menu and be sure Status Bar is checked. The address bar is the white are you tupe URLs in.
