# I fed my nuts to the squirrels in the park.

Some of the squirrels that live in Toronto neighborhoods are close to tame. One time, I stopped to watch a bunch of them. After awhile, one came over, sniffed my shoe, got up on it, and slowly climbed up my pant leg, sniffed my hand that was in my pocket, then turned around, went down my leg and carried on his business. I don’t expect it to ever happen again, but I suppose that one squirrel had a tale to tell his buddies at the Acorn Bar.

Berkeley squirrels are brazen thieves. If you’re sitting outdoors at a restaurant or having a picnic, they will try to swipe your food right out from under you.

Squirrels rock.

And I for one enjoy the power struggles between squirrels and blue jays. I just wish could get some good pictures of it.
