It might be cheating, but reducing the size of the smilies to 1/3 would increase detail by 9… Thanks for the link! Now I really must install WINE on this machine… ---

Very nice. And you can almost make out the smilies 😛 BTW, if you have GIMP 1.1 (available for windows too) or higher, it now comes with a plug-in for photomosaic effects. ---

No, no, no… You can’t just make a jpeg mosaic of the smileys, it has to be smileys assembled _on the board_! Which means, of course, that you’re stuck with the board colors and sizes 🙂 ---
