# I feel like there should be a "(Latest) News" category

I think there should be a “(Latest) News” category. Non-political news is often shared in MPSIMS, but I often don’t feel like that stuff is mundane or pointless.

Thoughts?

This comes up a lot over the years. MPSIMS is basically a catch-all.

The use of the [Breaking-News](https://boards.straightdope.com/tag/breaking-news) tag works well as a sub-forum. We encourage posters to use the tag for breaking news in MPSIMS.

Currently 32 threads have the tag.
