I find most people are _music conservatives._ That is, they like what they grew up on, within a small window of their adolecence. Anything before is dated, and anything after is crap. I’m a _music liberal._ I’m 37 and I look forward to discovering new music — I like almost any rock from the 60s up to now. I’m always buying new music; on average a new album every week. My tastes are all over the map, but I still listen to my old favorites from the 80s and 90s, as well as new music today. It’s all good, so long as I enjoy it. Time will sift the crap out from the good stuff, just like it always has. I kinda feel bad for _music conservatives._ ---

Just because something was a touchstone of your childhood and adolescence doesn’t mean that everyone else has to revere it too. ---

It’s annoying actually to hear people say there’s no good music/musicians anymore. Bullshit, I say. ---
