Maybe I’m a bad person, but I find it enormously challenging to work up a whole lot of sympathy for [people](http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1141098/Two-women-suffer-organ-failure-cosmetic-injections-make-look-like-J-Lo.html) who find the idea of having an ass like Jennifer Lopez so compelling that they are willing to pay some random person $600 to inject industrial silicone mixed up in a Tupperware bowl into their bodies in their own kitchen. I have the same sympathy I have for all stupid people… I’m mostly sad that you are so stupid. That’s really too bad. Cuz you know, when you’re real stupid like that, you are a lot more likely to die from doing something that a houseplant would find alarming. :rolleyes: ---

I would imagine that if death were considered the expected and acceptable result of doing something stupid, you’d have passed on some time ago – as would most of us. And in your case, would I be sorry? Probably, but really not all that much. I return you now to the comfortable perch you have found from which to look down upon someone else. This looks more like fraud than death by stupidity. From your link, they thought they were getting cosmetic surgery from a doctor (not a random person) using proper ingredients. Presumably they had not witnessed the crass preparations in the kitchen. ---

But one must make a distinction between “stupid” and “allowing someone who claims to be a doctor to inject an unknown substance into your ass in her kitchen.” Even as a teenager I knew better than that (which, trust me, is saying something). ---

I remember a similar case told by **Quadgop the Mercotan** where a guy had a hack doctor inject some unknown substance into his johnson to make it bigger. ---

I fail to see that those two women did anything so terribly wrong. At absolute worst they made one decision that turned out to be foolish. You seem to think it was opting for the cosmetic surgery at all, or possibly just trusting the wrong doctor. They aren’t serial killers or Fred Phelps. They just made a wrong decision. And you haven’t? Ever? If you think they deserve little or no regard from others, **Stoid** , that’s up to you. And reflects harshly on you, btw, not them. You have complained over the span of years about your unsuccessful battle against weight. Pray enlighten everyone if you apply this stringent standard to yourself. If your weight should cause knee problems, hypertension, clogged arteries or–and I hope not–premature death would you deserve little or no compassion from others? After all, it was your decision to eat on the pounds. This is ugly, **Stoid**. Those two women aren’t that bad, and you aren’t that great. ---

Doubtful. The article cited is more sad than anything. There’s a gallows-humor temptation to snicker, even involunatarily, at people who, say, decide to skateboard off 12 story buildings and such.
