"I felt SO much better after I shot the television." (open spoilers inevitable)

We used to be a die hard Charmed fans… then the last two seasons went straight to pot…

Someone recently told me that Carter only planned for the show to go on for 6 or 7 seasons. Fox then said, “If you leave we’ll find someone else.” Carter said, “Fuck that, if anyone’s going to run this show into the ground, it’ll be me.”

I loved That 70’s Show…until Hyde and Jackie started dating. That was so out-there that I couldn’t bring myself to watch it after that. Well, watch it and take it as seriously as you can take something like That 70’s Show seriously.

Watched the finale, though. I was so out of it as far as wtf was going on in the series that it didn’t matter.

I imagine so. Shooting Grover, yeesh. What did he ever do to you?

There was a two-part TV miniseries stunning misnamed Intensity back in '97. The first time a character had a gun pointed at the psycho killer and couldn’t bring himself to shoot, I yelled at the TV. The second time it happened, I changed the channel and never learned how it ended. Rather than “intense”, it had the air of “let’s drag this out as long as possible.” Characters that stupid deserve to die.

Heh. My husband started watching this when he was out of work and continued to TiVo it. I ended up watching it with him because whatever network it was on showed it twice a day, so in order to have any space left for anything, we had to watch at least one a day.

Since it was in syndication, we didn’t see past the end of season seven. It looks to me like that was supposed to be the end of the series, so we haven’t bothered to try to see the last season.

“Doctor Beckett never made it home.”

AAAAGGHH!! After everything he did! If I’d had a gun it definitely would have been “Die, Grover” time.

That and the series finale of Forever Knight. “Hey, let’s kill everyone! Yeah, that won’t piss off the entire fan base!”

Mrs. Plant insists that he did, just as she insists that “movie about Spock’s brother” was some fan-fic non-canon POS.

I phasered my TV into the Delta Quadrant (with my new phaser cutting phaser) after viewing the finale that got foisted upon Enterprise.

I remember I stopped liking Sliders after some cast change, but I don’t feel like searching for what it was, preferring instead to let fellow Dopers take guesses until we reach the right one.

Don’t sweat it. I saw in my futuroscope that Admiral Tucker died in a bar fight in New Orleans, Terra, in 2222 at the age of 101.

I watched Sliders for a bit, but quit rather quickly when they wrote out the lead actor, whoever he was.

Proud of you, man. For the obvious geek reason.
