I finally learned to knit!

Congratulations on learning to knit - I just did, too!

Well, I learned the basics from my great aunt, who just passed away this year. And so, to honour her, I decided to learn to knit again. I haven’t done it since I was maybe 7 or 8, but let me tell you, once I started again, it was like riding a bicycle. I didn’t forget a thing. I started off making scarves for everyone in the family, and I just knitted two new hats - they look like hats! Real hats! You can wear 'em! I gave one to my hubby, and now he proudly wears it around, even though it’s a little too big and floppy. It looks so nice, though! It’s a real hat!

I’ve been so excited, I went out to buy new needles, and some darning needles (to finish my hats off), and some little buttons to add to some future hats as decorations… so fun! Now that I’ve got the rhythm down, I can sit for literally hours, knitting happily away.

::grabs MissDisaster and does the happy knitting dance:: Isn’t it fun!
