I was impressed with the “it’s not murder” angle. I presume he also believes no one murdered Jack the Ripper’s victims because no one was convicted of doing so. ---

Circling back to report on the election bet: I was having a hard time deciding between the ACLU, Planned Parenthood and the Sierra Club. But then I realized “Hey, if it’s hard for me to pick one of those three, I bet it would be REALLY hard for Ditka himself!”. So I have decided to leave the choice up to him.😃 ---

Yeah OMG why would you give him the ACLU as an option?? Dude. Southern Poverty Law Center was my suggestion and given his hateful racism I think that would’ve been the best option. ---

I was under the impression that the ACLU doesn’t have an extremely strong position on the 2nd _vis a vis_ the current political debates. Plus even when they do strongly defend it with their words, they don’t seem to strongly defend it with actions, instead saying “all those other gun rights groups have got it covered, so we’re concentrating on defending the other rights which need more help,” which is a reasonable position to take. ---

**HurricaneDitka** is [at it again](https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=21376824&postcount=100), making us wonder if he understands simple arithmetic as well as a 5th-grader does. Since he corrected one of his fellow Trumpist nitwits — who divided $30 trillion by 300 million to get $100 instead of $100,000 — my best guess is **HurricaneDitka** _does_ have a good 5th-grade understanding of basic arithmetic. Indeed he’s an intellectual leader of his team here! 😛 But if he can find any far-fetched misleading way to render stats that seems to favor Trumpist propaganda, he’ll adopt it and stubbornly refuse to remember what his fifth-grade math teacher tried to teach him. He gives the impression of being sincere. One really wonders what’s going on in his tiny brain. ---
