I think most of the participants of this thread will respectfully refrain from perpetuating the outing of the potential whistleblower. It’s a lost cause, since the trolls are determined to out him anyway, but at least I don’t need to participate in it. ---

Team, I would like to invite you to my little ATMB sidebar discussion [The Economics of Trolling, the SDMB, and Moderator Decisions](https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=21973906#post21973906), in which we try to build a business case for or against trolling. Given that his actions result in real-world revenue consequences for the SDMB, I am interested in a discussion which focuses on whether or not Ditka can generate more revenue for the SDMB via high engagement than he loses in lost subscriber revenues. I am interested in all opinions, especially those with experience in business and social media marketing. ---

I don’t know, he’s actively trying to out a legally protected whistleblower and that hasn’t earned him a ban. Conservative posters are given a LOT more leeway than other posters here, one is more likely to get frustrated lash out at a conservative troll and get a warning, than the conservative troll is to get banned. This board places etiquette over manners and lets conservative trolls operate for years and years without action. ETA: I also think that if they ban him now, they will be admitting that they should have done it a long time ago.
