# I found a baby bunny! Moose seems to be doing quite well. He’s drinking kitten formula (and actually sucking on the syringe), has lots of energy and is getting used to being handled. He hasn’t yelled hardly at all while being taken out of his new bunny cage we bought for him. (We figured if we got him a really pimped out bunny condo it would bolster his will to live.) So, so far, so good. I have some pictures - as soon as SS e-mails them to me I’ll post them up for all to see. ---

My grown daughter adopted a rabbit once. It took right to a litter box. it was a normal rabbit, not one of those inbred types. ---

A few years back I nabbed a young (not quite adolescent) rabbit in the garden and started carrying it to a place outside the fence line for release, when it began shrieking incredibly loudly in anticipation of impending doom. Damn, those things can scream. Maybe it’s supposed to startle predators into dropping them. Didn’t work in this case, but I’m lucky no one sent the police to my house to check on an ax murder in progress. ---

**Alice** , when you were tracking this wee rabbit down, didn’t you feel the least bit peculiar – like you might have done that before? They really are irresistable. I had one that looked like the photo of the baby cottontail. It ran away in a day’s time. Keeping it in a garage wasn’t quite restrictive enough. (Hey, I was ten.) ---
