I was a little surprised to see I agreed with Clinton more than Obama, and Huckabee more than McCain. Some answers didn’t really address the question so I marked it ‘disagree’ only to learn later that you don’t have to mark an answer if you don’t feel strongly one way or the other.
What results did you get and did you expect what came up?

That was neat – I appreciated seeing quotes independent of knowing who said them. And it turns out that I pretty much came out where I expected.

9 for Obama
2 for McCain
I wasn’t sure I could get behind Obama’s stance on giving states the right to decide whether gay people may be afforded the rights as their married counterparts. I respect the concept of state autonomy, but banning gay marriage/civil unions/whatever is such a fundamental violation of individual civil rights that I could never condone granting an individual state that power. What he said, from my perspective, is essentially on the same level as a candidate saying, ‘‘Well, if the state decides it wants to enforce racial segregation in educational institutions and public service facilities, far be it from me to stop the will of the state!’’
I felt his response overall dodged this issue – the fundamental violation of civil rights happening in this country as we speak – and he took great care to distance himself by saying he opposed gay marriage but supported civil unions. :rolleyes:
I’m voting for Obama anyways.
Overall the results did not much surprise me.

This is, I think, the best quiz I’ve taken so far. It’s really great to read their own words, instead of agreeing or disagreeing with someone else’s interpretation of their words.

With me, Obama, Clinton, and Gravel are tied with 6 Agrees apiece. Paul is next with 5, which is a shame because Paul is utterly crazy with regard to abortion and the gold standard. I truly and honestly hate Huckabee and think he personifies everything that’s wrong with the GOP today. I hope Huckabee gets caught giving head to an illegal immigrant in a truck stop.

I ended up leaving a lot blank, because I wanted more detail from the person (there was a lack of specifics or they used a lot of words to say nothing at all) or because while I didn’t really disagree with them, I didn’t really agree with them either (or vice versa).

Clinton: 8/0/2
Obama: 6/0/4
Gravel: 5/1/4 (which was a surprise)
McCain: 0/3/6
Paul: 2/5/3 (which was also a surprise. I was unaware that Ron Paul and I agreed about anything)
Huckabee:0/6/2
So, pretty much what I thought. And I still have two whole days before the caucus.

Huh. Trip out. I’m pretty sure I despise Clinton, but…now my self identity has been compromised!
I also did not realize that you didn’t have to choose agree or disagree. But, no matter. It may not have changed the results that much.
