I get my initial checkride this weekend...

Congrats, Airman! That’s smashing news.

Hooray and super-congratulations!!!

:tries to think of something profound to say:

Oh well.

Rock on dude!

“Off we go into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun!”

i’ve been to the sandbox quite a few times and ive only been in for 2 years. it’s nothing you want to look foward to, regardless if you have to leave someone behind. but then again, as aircrew it might be better.

Congrats, Airman-babe! You are mucho awesome.

But of course, you knew that.

That’s completely cool babe. I’m so proud!

To think, I knew you back before you could fly…::sniff:: They grow up so fast!!

Seriously though, congrats!

Suffice it to say, I’m very, very, VERY proud of you. You worked very hard to pass this checkride.

Did I tell you you look hot in your leather jacket?

Robin

Congrats on your accomplishment.

But I must say those jackets are ugly as hell and need to be updated for the 80’s. I am glad I never had to wear one, or will have to wear one. They look ridiculous worn over bags.

Joe is right. The desert sucks whn you’re single and sucks 10 times as bad when you leave family behind. Don’t wish it on yourself.

Ah, the first deployment of a newby. I remember mine as well as can be expected, seeing as it has receded a bit in the gray matter over the years. Congrats and give 'em Hell.
