Does anyone actually take the flirting on board seriously? I always saw it as just another type of friendly banter. ---

A good friend of mine swears this is true: Way back before I knew him when he was still about eighteen, he and a friend went to a pub. They were just sitting there having a beer and playing the poker machines when, without warning, his friend jumped to his feet and announced (to nobody in particular): _“I HAVE A TEN INCH COCK!”_ Moments later, a woman walked up, took this guy by the arm, and they disappeared out the door together. My friend was just left with his eyes wide and his jaw swinging in the breeze. So this sort of thing does work. ---

It was pissing me off, and I had a bit of a go - probably too harsh of a go, in hindsight - at **Kythereia** - not that I’m suggesting that she was the only culprit - and to be fair, the trend does seem to be dying down. Incidentally, if you’re reading this, **Kythereia** , I like the “new you”: with the flirting toned down, I enjoy reading your posts. ---

What-are you asking me if I’m being unpleasant? Because I’m not. There are always people who complain about flirt threads. Most of them are just harmless, silly fun. SOME people take them seriously (witness the recent **Iceland\_Blue** mess when he told male dopers not to flirt with him because he was a guy and they might not realize until it was too late). But I think most of the time, it’s the same way I talk to my friends in real life, or whatever. ---
