I’ve tried to find it. It makes me laugh every time I see it, or a variation of it. Can someone please tell me where “When come back, bring pie” originated? ---

I know it from an online comic strip called [Something Awful](http://www.somethingawful.com). You have to go back into the archives at least a year to find it. That’s only where I know it from. It probably predates that. ---

I think the Babylonians, who only had it down to 3 1/4, first said it to the Egyptians, who came back with 256/81. ---

Mucho thanks out to **Dante** for asking (I had been wondering, but hadn’t gotten around to doing anything about it…) and to **Airman Doors** for providing the answer. This is definitely one I’m glad I didn’t ask about in person; I can’t imagine the Doper dramatization of Weebl and Bob. 😉 ---

Y’all unnerstan, doncha, you North Americans, that when Weebl or Bob say “pie!”, they mean the type with animal flesh inside, not over-cooked fruit with added pectin and sugar, right? ---
