It started out OK, made good progress building mileage. Noticed the front(steering tires) were wearing out. Burned through them in less than 200 miles. Turns out the steering alignment wasn’t set by the shop I bought from (in Mich.). Ordered new tires, one was damaged in transit, ordered a replacement, wrong tire (size and model wrong), ordered a replacement for the replacement, it’s due to be delivered tomorrow. Plus the smoke from the fires would have kept me off the road for a good week anyways.
whats the pricing on these ? i couldn’t find it with ut a rigmarole
If you mean handcycles, there’s a wide range. Using Invacare’s Top End series: 2600-4000 for regular users, both recumbent and “wheelchair with a handcrank grafted on” while the more “athletic” recumbents start around 5500-6000 with lots of very expensive options.
ahh thanks still bit expensive for my range …
Wow, hope the new tire is the right one. I’d wondered how much of a problem the smoke out that way was.
Had several days over 300 AQI. The Camp fires from 2018 were worse, AQI was over 500 a couple of days.
