I got a piano! Help! (Longish)

Unless it’s sitting in a pond, or in a desert, or leaning off the edge of a cliff, there is little you need to do to “stabilize” it. Keeping it in a room that remains between 65-80 degrees F, and 40-50% relative humidity is the most important thing. And be sure that direct sunlight does not fall on it.

As long as those conditions obtain, and you don’t have dogs (or termites) chewing on it, it will be fine until you can have more serious work done.
