Ute is an abbreviation not an an acronym. You never capitalise the t and the e and only capitalise the u at the beginning of a sentence.

Ah, a pickup, also known as a pickup truck.
Around here, plenty of suburbanites drive them, and respectable middle-class women wouldn’t think twice about owning one on the slightest provocation.
Of course, I live in Montana, so that makes a difference.

Well kinda. The classic Australian ute was based on a sedan chassis not on a 4wd chassis.
