# I got first class honours in my law degree

About a month ago I [finished](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=425097&highlight=cunctator) my last two law subjects.
The exam results came out yesterday and I’ve now completed my LLB with first class honours. After all of the slog of five and a half years of part-time study, I’m very happy.

I thing you should have gotten **High** First Class Honors and you should see a lawyer about this ASAP. That is what I have gathered from the SDMB.

I’m in a bit of a quandary with this. I started doing the law degree mainly out of interest and for the intellectual challenge/stimulation. I’ve ended up finding that I really rather enjoy it. But I also enjoy my work as an actuary too. I’m putting my mind to ways in which I could use both strands together.

I don’t envisage going to the bar, so I doubt I’ll be wearing a wig at any stage.

Congratulations! I got my law degree (sans honors of any kind) two months ago, and I’ll be taking the Tennessee bar exam one week from today. Perhaps we’ll meet someday in [The Hague](http://www.icj-cij.org/).
