Jeez, I’m so sorry for your diagnosis – and glad you caught it early. ((((hugs)))) My friend who was diagnosed about a year ago has received excellent support via the Susan G. Komen foundation. ---

I just wanted to add to the flood of good thoughts and support. Also, you still went to the gym after your diagnosis?! That’s fantastic dedication! I’ll be using your dedication as motivation next time I try and talk myself out of exercising. Thanks **ivylass**. ---

You know you are probably my favorite poster here, and my heart sank when I saw your thread. But you’ve caught it early, and you’re going to be totally fine. Please keep us updated, and you’re going to be in my thoughts a lot. You are the third woman I have ‘known’ online in the past year to be diagnosed, and the other two are doing great. Good things come in threes, and you must be the third. Lots of good thoughts and prayers coming your way. ---

[/QUOTE] Well, I’ve been doing so well with my diet and exercise, and I needed some time to get myself together before I went home and told Ivylad. It was either that or go hit a bar for a vodka tonic (and I RARELY drink) and I decided that wasn’t going to help. So, dammit, I looked at it like “Oh yeah? Well, fuck you, you’re not going to stop me from my life.” I still got weepy a couple of times on the elliptical machine, but I had time to figure out how to tell my husband. Again, thanks to EVERYONE for their kind words and thoughts. I am overwhelmed, both here and the messages I’ve gotten via PM and e-mail. You have no idea how much it helps. ---

I was meaning to post. I did the walk for the cure in Minneapolis on Mother’s Day - with my sister who was just starting chemo last year at this time and is now cancer free. And my aunt, who I think is now a four or five year survivor. And thought of you and wished you the best. If you have the opportunity to walk, do so - its an amazing experience - there were 65,000 walkers in Minneapolis. ---

I’ve been checking out the [breastcancer.org](http://breastcancer.org) and the Susan G Komen websites (yes, I teared up reading about her sister) but until I know what treatment the doctors need to do, I’m a bit wary of making any plans for walks in the next few months. I do have a pink bracelet with the charm, and there’s a race in October at Disney World, but I can’t make plans that far out right now. ---

Oh yeah, my sister didn’t walk last year during her chemo - too much effort and she was far from ready. She actually did walk locally at a smaller event - pretty much during the peak of her treatment. A lot of these events you can register right there - or if you don’t walk, just showing up to know that all these other people feel the need to walk is inspiring. Mother’s Day here threatened to be cold and wet (it turned out to be windy, but not bad) and we still had a two mile long snake of people. ---
