# I got my CD settlement check. A check for $13.68 came Saturday. Too late to buy insurance against falling cell phones, and it’d be pretty silly to run out and buy a CD with it. I can get a case of beer with it, unless someone has a better idea. ---

True. They tend to prefer “companion” or “escort” to “friend”… As is my understanding of that type of relationship. ---

Mine’s getting lumped in with some other class action settlements and rebates to apply to a wireless MP3-playing thingamahoozits that connects 50 gig of music on my PC to the stereo system. ---

OOOh. I got mine today! Cool. I forgot all about it. Sad part is, 13.86 really isn’t enough to buy a new cd. Funny. Tis why I pretty much only buy used cds. ---

I just cashed my check this morning. I was wondering what to spend it on. My daughter suggested another CD, but I figure that if I do that, the record companies have won. Perhaps I’ll spend it on iTunes downloads… 13.86/.99 = 14 downloads… ---

I also had forgotten about signing up- and in the mail yesterday was a pretty check for $13.86. Cool! **bienville** : IIRC (and considering I didn’t remember signing up for the settlement-take it for what it’s worth), it’s a refund based on all the price gouging record companies have done. ---
