BTW: Right now the sackies are available at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club. They’ll be distributed generally in March, I’ve heard. Hey, let’s all promote the nickname “SACKIE”! 🙂 ---

I put mine in with CanadianSue and c fury. I like looking in my wallet and knowing how much I have in there just by looking at how many of each colour I have, a green one and a purple one(which I had to trade for two blue, a friend needed smaller change). Carl and I took the Sam Houston toll way, and stopped in the full service lane to buy some tokens. What’d they give us? Susan B. Anthony dollars! Someone said they got them from Hobby Lobby too. They remind me of those chocolate coins I used to get at Halloween and Valentines. Oh, jeez, Pluto! I had to go find my twonie to check that out! _LOL_ BTW: The sackie is slightly smaller than a twoonie. The funny thing about the sackie is that my friends and I use “sack” as a curse. Bash my head? “Sack!” Someone piss you off? “You meatsack!” Very versatile. Well anyway, I like the sackie. I just wish I could get to the chocolate inside. ---

I saw one today and was sort of disappointed. I guess I was hoping for more of a gold dubloon instead of the pale thing looking like a Chuck E. Cheese token that ran through the wash. Oh well, no standing in the way of progress. Re: American v. Foreign money. For some reason, people bitching about how hard it is to tell a US$5 from a US$10 reminds me of the people on TV commercials who can’t add a can of water to their tomato soup or else needed pump toothpaste because it was too hard to keep hold of that zany cap. * * * “I guess one person can make a difference, although most of the time they probably shouldn’t.” ---

In Saudi, the riyal notes are not only printed in six different colors, but also in six different sizes. Even the seeing-impaired can make correct change! Kinda makes me wonder if the degree of uniformity of a nation’s currency is somehow related to the general educational level of it’s citizenry? Or does uniformity just indicate a lack of imagination on the part of it’s civil servants? Mundane, huh?
