Well, Scruffy is a pretty smart pup. She’ll \*barkbarkbarkbark \* when she needs to go outside and poo. Plus she spent an extra-long day inside today without pooping on the carpet. You’re right, **FCM** , tomorrow is only Thursday. See, these [del]idiot stupidheads[/del] congresspeople have me so confused I don’t even know what day it is. So Friday at Memphis BBQ, road conditions permitting. **Jah** , I’ve used the Paton’s soysilk yarn and it’s nice and clean. I just don’t like the color selections very much. And doesn’t _anyone_ make a soysilk yarn that’s in solid colors? I like variegated, but sometimes I like solids, too! ---

I don’t understand Hollister at all, **gotti**. I especially don’t get that they seem to have some kind of fragrance-pump thing. I’ve been in one once, and realised I was a) Not Young Enough, b) Not Thin Enough, and c) Not Cool Enough to want to wear their dorky-looking clothes. So I left and went to Bluenotes and the Gap, where I feel less middle-aged. **Mindfield** , sometimes I make danishes. _Chocolate_ danishes. I haven’t done it in about a year, though. I’m working on sponge cake right now. Class was ow. I’m going to be sore tomorrow. We’re doing inventory. **Quazi Daughter** , do you want to go to the market on Saturday? The cats are flipping out to convince me to feed them. They figure if they’re annoying enough, I’ll have to feed them. They don’t realise that I could just whack them over their stupid little furry heads. ---

**GT** --perhaps you were given away (or I was)–we have the same mother. Now she wants daughter to go to Duke. She has it all planned (my parents met at Duke)–they’ll take daughter and #1 son there over spring break and see the campus and It Will All Work Out. (don’t ask what happened to Harvard–she switched Plans in mid-sentence). One problem (or two): 1. Daughter will be in France with the French Club over spring break and #1 and #2 sons will be with us, exploring the Shawnee National Forest. And 2. Daughter wants to go to Boston U.\* \*I have told D. repeatedly that she needs to have at least 4 colleges that she applies to. Not listening to Mom as yet. Most certainly won’t listen to Grandma, either… I haven’t done the Jello thing, yet. He managed to swallow 2 noodles and a few teaspoonsful of broth at dinner. He is sucking on a pedia-pop[sup]TM[/sup] now. ---

I thought a hard reset was when you push that little button in the back with the tip of a stylus. When it crashes, I’m generally synching [PTunes](http://www.pocket-tunes.com/) on my Zire72, downloading library audiobooks from [Netlibrary](http://www.netlibrary.com/Company/AboutUs.aspx) or [Overdrive Audio](http://www.overdrive.com/audiobooks/). Netlibrary is basically digital versions of Recorded Books and Overdrive Audio represents most of the other big ones. When it crashes, it just stops working altogether. I can’t get it to do anything. It won’t even turn off. So I do a hard reset to get it going again. Here I am! Very, very late, but here, nonetheless. Things have been crazy at work, so while I tried to peek at the MMP once or twice today, I did not have the time to post. In fact, I too, ended up staying late at work. I’m sorry to hear the boy is sick, **Rigsy,** I hope he gets to feeling better soon. I also hope he doesn’t pass it on to you. I do not miss cleaning up projectile vomit. I once had the same thing happen with my daughter. All over her bed, all over the hallway leading to the bedrooms, and splashed clear up on to the walls. It was most definitely gross. Fortunately, I have a strong stomach when it comes to those things. I’ve been thinking about a trip to Costco and remembered I had a two percent rebate check from them. I get two percent of my purchases back every year in the form of a check. So, anyway, I hadn’t even bothered to open it and I’ve had it for almost two months now. I opened it expecting it to be around $200.00. Well, HARRRRUMH! It was only $73.00! I was all :dubious:, because I know I spent a significant amount of money there over the last year. I guess I didn’t spend as much as I thought, or perhaps, I didn’t get credit for everything. I dunno. I guess it’ll buy some staples like milk, bread, eggs, and the giganto bag of dog food I need for my dog. I think some of us have the same mommy. Enough said there. Also, MIL was very ticked at **Mr. Taters** and I. Her birthday was this last Saturday. I don’t know why, but I had it in my head that her birthday was Sunday. At any rate, our niece called us late Saturday night to remind us, so the hubby called MIL right away to wish her a Happy Birthday. She let him know how unhappy she was. Yeah…greeeeaaaaaat. Hubby is notoriously bad with dates. She knows this. Hell, he can’t remember my birthday or our wedding anniversary date. I have to remind him ahead of time. So, Tuesday, the hubby goes over to MIL’s house with some flowers and a card. She AGAIN let him know how unhappy she was that he hadn’t called her sooner on Saturday. **Mr. Taters** reminded her how notoriously bad he was with dates, but she didn’t like that. So, he mentioned the fact (not that it really bothered us) that _she_ didn’t call to wish us a happy anniversary. (It was last Friday, and a belated thanks for all the congrats and well wishes). She replied, “Well, I was at _Irene’s_ house”. Um, so what. Irene lives here in town. She too, had ALL day and night to call us. At any rate, it didn’t really bother us, but he wanted her to know that it’s most definitely a two way street. Frankly, it doesn’t bother me if my birthday or anniversary or anything like that isn’t acknowledged, outside of my husband and kids. Maybe I’m different, I dunno. I’ve been kind of sort of thinking about getting an MP3 player or something to take to work. It would be nice to listen to my music and not be bothered my all the visitors to other people in my office. It get’s kind of busy and loud in there sometimes and I find it difficult to concentrate if I have a particularly problematic spreadsheet or analysis I’m trying to do. Speaking of spreadsheets… **Swampy,** why don’t you lock the cells with formulas so that people can’t mess them up? I learned this lesson the hard way. **Canineservant,** when you say you clean tubs, do you clean them so they’re “man-clean”, or “woman-clean”? I have a huge, enormous, gargantuan tub. I rarely use it. It takes so much water, that the water starts running cold and I have to wait for it the water heater to warm up. Honestly, I think I’ve used that tub maybe 10 times in the last nearly four years. I’m a shower kind of gal. **ME,** it’s good to see you again! It is very cold here. We’ve had frozen fog and icy streets for the last several mornings. My driveway is an ice slick. It was slippery enough with just the unmelted frost/rime on it, but hubby decided to wash his pick-up when he got home. Maneuvering to the rigs tomorrow morning will be quite interesting. He told me he kept sliding down the driveway as he was washing his truck. That had to be interesting to watch. He was cracking one of the neighbors right the hell up. Hugs and smooches to all. I think I’m gonna watch the local news now. ---

Stopping in to say hi! I’ve finally got caught up again, but by the time I make it in here tomorrow morning, y’all will have filled up a couple of more pages… Whew! I went to the doc today, my last blood test for 4 weeks, then a followup in 3 months. I’m free at last, free at last - no more icky interferon and ribavirin. Yay! I went shopping yesterday, and bought some clothes for work. And I got a nifty pair of sandals - with heels! - for only $5, regularly $40! And a pair of Nikes for $60 - ah well, it all evens out… all the rest of the clothes were on sale. I made an appointment to get my hair cut on Saturday, and I plan to get a mani- and pedicure soon. I’ll be all purtified! Hugs to all the sickies, and sickie relatives. ---

Morning all…late start for me today. I had to take a very hungry, very unhappy and very vocal cat to the vet this morning. Poor Shadow hasn’t had any food for 12 hours and has been shut in the house to stop him getting out and scavenging food from anywhere else. He’s at the vet’s today to have his important bits chopped off (well, they’ll chop off the one they can see and then go looking for the other one) so hopefully he’ll be back home again later today. I have to ring the vets this afternoon to see how’s he’s doing and they’ll let me know if he’s staying there overnight or not. So for today, it’s my turn to have The Worry.
